This courses focuses on instruction in techniques designed to lead students into vocal freedom, exploration, and readiness. Students learn the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), exploring the world's sounds, and applying their knowledge in a variety of settings, from vocal performance to working with individuals who demonstrate speech disorders. The course includes the phonology of English and the identification of phonemes.
